Art & Crafts

Every children is the artist! The children are provided with the opportunity to express themselves through several artistic mediums including watercolors, clay and craft materials. The individual creative efforts of each child are encouraged in a non-judgmental free expression environment.

Each camp is different topic.

Art Courses are taught by professional teachers from NSCAD.

Topic 1: Nature

• Techniques: Learn foundational mixed media techniques such as collage, assemblage, layering, and decoupage to create dynamic compositions. 

• Color Mixing and Matching: Practice color mixing using paints, markers, or crayons to create custom hues and shades, developing an understanding of color theory. 

• Creative Problem-Solving: Think creatively as they combine materials in unexpected ways to achieve desired effects. 

• Expressive Mark-Making: Explore various mark-making tools such as brushes, sponges, stamps, and fingers to create unique patterns, lines, and textures in artworks. 

• Storytelling Through Art: Use of mixed media will help to tell stories or convey emotions, encouraging children to express themselves through their artworks. 

Topic 2: Doodle

Unleash your imagination at our Doodle Objects camp! Children will embark on a playful and creative adventure as they transform everyday objects into whimsical works of art. From household items to fantastical inventions, participants will explore shape, line, and pattern while doodling their way to artistic inspiration. Through interactive activities and imaginative challenges, kids will discover the joy of doodling and the endless possibilities of turning ordinary objects into extraordinary creations. Get ready to doodle, dream, and explore at our Doodle Objects camp!

Topic 3: Ink Fusion

Embark on a journey of artistic exploration at our Ink Fusion Summer Camp! Dive into the mesmerizing world of ink as children discover the fusion of traditional ink techniques with modern artistic styles. Through guided instruction and hands-on activities, kids will learn to blend brush strokes and ink mediums to create captivating artworks. From Chinese brush painting to contemporary ink illustrations, participants will unlock their creativity and develop their skills in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Topic 4: Figure Fun

Explore the exciting world of character and figure drawing at our Figure Fun Camp! Children will unleash their creativity as they learn to depict human forms, expressions, and personalities through sketches and illustrations. From whimsical characters to lifelike portraits, participants will discover the joy of storytelling through figure drawing and express their unique perspectives and imaginations.
